History of Turkish Republic

History of Turkish Republic Sub-Department mainly covers the period from Ottoman Empire’s collapse to the foundation of Turkish Republic. It deals with the military, political, economic and cultural developments in the aforementioned period, and it concentrates on the War of Independence and political, social, cultural and legal reforms implemented during the foundation of Turkish Republic. This field examines Turkish Revolution’s philosophy as well. This sub-department conducts researches and provides courses about Atatürk, İnönü eras, transition to multi-party system and Turkish foreign relations as well as contemporary world history and Turkish world.
