Brief History

History

Samsun University History Department was founded within the Faculty of Economics, Administrative and Social Sciences, of which establishment was announced in May 18, 2018. Our department was founded by three professors and a associate professor. Prof. Dr. Mehmet ÇOG is the first chair of our department.

History Department recruited undergraduate students in 2019-2020 Fall semester, our capacity was sixty. In the same semester, our department opened MA program in History, of which capacity was ten. History department was founded by experienced experts, who provide student with modern education.
